In this year's lineup, rower Pham Hong Quan (22 years old) won 2 gold medals at the 31st SEA Games. He is a key athlete of the national rowing team. He said that this year's competition program did not include Vietnam's strong events such as canoeing and rowing, so Quan and the athletes had many difficulties adapting to dragon boating. Some events lacked training equipment, but the athletes' determination helped the team achieve high results.
At the end of the 32nd SEA Games, the high-achieving athletes of Hai Duong province won 7 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.
After arriving at Noi Bai airport to meet with the center's leaders and relatives, all 6 traditional rowing athletes of Hai Duong immediately moved to Hai Phong to practice and prepare for upcoming tournaments.
