2 year old girl beaten to death by mother's friend

On February 25, Giang was temporarily detained by Kien Giang Provincial Police for murder; Do Van Ngo (27 years old, Giang's friend) was arrested for failure to report a crime.

According to the investigation, Giang lives with his wife and one-year-old child in Rach Gia City. Recently, his wife took the child to work.

The girl's 28-year-old mother, Giang's friend, often goes to work and brings her to Giang's house to ask him to help look after her. On the afternoon of February 17, while feeding her, Giang was angry because the girl refused to eat and defecated on the mattress, so he used a square piece of wood (45.5 cm long) to hit her repeatedly, causing her to collapse.

Giang continued to take a piece of plastic pipe (66.5 cm long) and hit the child in many places on the body. The victim died on the tiled floor.

Do Van Ngo went to Giang's house to visit and discovered the child dead with many injuries on his body, but did not report it to the authorities. That evening, Giang called the child's mother to "come and pick up her child". When she discovered the child dead, she reported it to the police.

The autopsy results showed that the victim suffered multiple injuries, including a complex ruptured spleen. In addition, the girl’s body had multiple bruises on her forehead, both eye sockets, occipital region, chest, abdomen, and left kidney.

At the investigation agency, Giang admitted all his actions.
