On the morning of March 15, Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and a Provincial Party Committee meeting to consider a proposal to discipline Party members related to the case of Chief Inspector Nguyen Ngoc Anh, who was recently prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security, on March 10, to investigate and clarify the act of accepting bribes.
According to information confirmed by the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has agreed on the disciplinary measure proposed by the Central Committee to expel Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh from the Party.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh is a member of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term XI, 2021 - 2025, currently working at the Lam Dong Provincial Inspectorate Party Cell, the Lam Dong Provincial Agencies Party Committee. Mr. Anh was previously the Deputy Chief Inspector of the province, and from June 17, 2019 was appointed as the Chief Inspector of the province for a period of 5 years.
Mr. Anh's violations are related to the direction and conclusion of the inspection of violations in land management, land use, land allocation, and forest allocation at a large investment project in Lam Dong. The case is being further investigated by the Department of Police Investigation of Economic Crimes, Positions, and Smuggling, Ministry of Public Security.
