Alleged to be an accomplice in a fraud case, former head of Phu Quoc City Police Le Van Mot was temporarily detained by Kien Giang Province Police to investigate the above behavior.
On April 13, a leader of Kien Giang Provincial Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of Kien Giang Provincial Police had prosecuted and temporarily detained Colonel Le Van Mot - former head of Phu Quoc City Police.
According to initial information, Mr. Mot was arrested by Kien Giang Provincial Police for wrongdoings as an accomplice in a case of fraud and property appropriation.
Kien Giang Provincial Police are currently investigating the incident.
It is known that from 2017 to 2023, Mr. Le Van Mot held the position of Chief of Phu Quoc City Police. After that, Mr. Mot was transferred to be the Chief of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Kien Giang province.
