At the end of the year, especially as New Year and Lunar New Year approaches, people need to be more vigilant and take care of their personal belongings.
Woman in black opens car trunk (photo extracted from store camera)
On the afternoon of December 24, Ms. Vu Thi D. in Nguyen Trai ward went into a store on Ly Thuong Kiet street (in the same city of Hai Duong) to buy things. Because she thought the shopping time was short, Ms. D. still hung her handbag on her motorbike. While Ms. D. was shopping in the store, a woman in black quickly took her handbag. In the bag were a laptop, wallet and personal belongings with a total value of about 20 million VND. Before that, this woman in black stood observing and entered the store, took the motorbike key of another customer and opened the motorbike trunk to take the items (see photo) but saw that the items were not of high value so she left them behind.
Ms. D. reported the incident to the police.
At the end of the year, especially as the New Year and Lunar New Year approaches, people's shopping needs increase. When shopping, people need to keep their personal belongings carefully, not be subjective, and avoid being taken advantage of by thieves.
