According to the latest assessment of the Hai Duong Province Hydrometeorological Station at 2:00 p.m. on September 5, from early morning on September 7, storm No. 3 is likely to cause strong winds of level 5, level 6, then increase to level 7, level 8, gusts of level 9, level 10. From the night of September 6-9, it is forecasted that areas in the province will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 200-350 mm.
From the above assessment, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hai Duong province determined that the area affected by storm No. 3 is the entire province with a disaster risk level of level 3 (high risk). The Steering Committee identified 6 groups at risk of being affected by storm No. 3. These are agricultural production areas (rice, vegetables, high-value crops), concentrated aquaculture areas and caged fish, areas prone to flooding, areas prone to landslides in Kinh Mon town and Chi Linh city, unsafe houses and structures in residential areas, and key disaster prevention areas.
