The New York Times (USA) ranked Vietnam's Ha Giang 25th in the list of 52 global destinations in 2023. These 52 destinations converge all the elements of culture, cuisine, nature, and adventure, ready for tourists to explore when tourism has recovered.

The New York Times commented: “A few days of motorbike riding around exploring the Ha Giang highlands in northern Vietnam is not for the faint-hearted.”
It takes 6 hours to travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang city by road. The steep roads, winding passes and winding roads of this highland route are dangerous but also very interesting.
Road improvements and new luxury accommodation have made the area more accessible to visitors. One of the most popular experiences in Ha Giang is a boat ride through the emerald canyons of the Ma Pi Leng Pass.
