Social science exam is moderate, natural science exam is highly differentiated

According to the Hai Duong Newspaper reporters in Hai Duong City and Thanh Ha and Thanh Mien districts, candidates left the exam room in an excited mood. Many candidates said they were satisfied with their exam. This year's exam was quite close to the school's review program and within the candidates' ability. Most candidates rated the exam as not too difficult but there was still a high degree of differentiation, mainly in the last 10 questions. Getting 7-8 points is not difficult, but 8.5-10 points is not easy. However, there are also candidates who confidently said they could get 9 points.

Many candidates commented that among the three subjects in the social science exam, history is the most difficult. The questions related to Vietnamese history from 1930 to 1975 and the last questions require thinking, reasoning and systematizing knowledge for analysis. Geography and civics are also quite easy, because you have practiced many of these types of questions. Geography based on the Atlas can easily earn 5 points or more.

Unlike the social science exam, many candidates taking the natural science exam said that the exam was difficult to get high scores. All three subjects are highly differentiated, suitable for university admission.

Of the three natural science subjects, biology is a bit difficult and highly differentiated in the last questions. These questions involve counting numbers, requiring candidates to think well or they will be “tricked”. For the chemistry and physics exams, average students can easily get points to graduate from high school, while good and excellent students can get 8-9 points or more.

Many candidates said that although they were tired, they still had energy to prepare for the final exam this afternoon, which was a foreign language.

According to the assessment of some social science and natural science teachers, this year's combined exam is quite suitable, close to the program and has the ability to classify students. The questions are arranged in order from easy to difficult. Each component exam consists of 40 questions, of which the first 30 questions are within the ability but the last 10 questions have high classification. From question 30 to question 35, if you study at an advanced level, you can do it, from question 35 onwards, the classification requirements are even higher.

The natural science exam includes the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology; the social science exam includes the subjects of history, geography, and civics, all in the form of multiple-choice tests. Each candidate in the same exam room has a separate exam code and takes the exam on a multiple-choice answer sheet. The time for each subject is 50 minutes.

This morning, 93 candidates were absent from the social science exam; 172 candidates were absent from the natural science exam.

The cool morning weather was favorable for candidates to take the exam. Many parents continued to wait for their children outside the exam site.

Police and youth volunteers continue to work enthusiastically and responsibly, ensuring traffic safety, security and order; supporting, cheering and encouraging candidates.

On the afternoon of June 28, about 18,800 candidates continued to take the foreign language exam, with a duration of 60 minutes. This is also the final exam of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
