In the North, it will be sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and at night. In particular, Lao Cai will have rain in the next 6 hours, with some places receiving over 30 mm. There is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in this province, especially in Bao Yen and Bac Ha districts.

From around September 9-12, the North is likely to experience widespread thunderstorms. Thunderstorms and localized heavy rains in the Central Highlands and the South may last for many days to come.
