Stocks lost nearly 70 points

Sudden strong selling pressure after the lunch break caused the VN-Index to fall vertically, at one point losing 69 points, down to below 1,140 points.

Under strong selling pressure, VN-Index retreats to near 1,200 point mark

The stock market fell sharply this morning, VN-Index fell 8.08 points to 1,202.22 points with 126 stocks increasing in price, 312 stocks decreasing in price and 60 stocks remaining unchanged.

According to Bloomberg, President Donald Trump continues to urge China to proactively contact him to initiate negotiations to resolve the escalating trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.
