Funeral photos of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong win special prize 'Press Moments 2024'

Morning of December 6, Photo Awards CeremonyThe Press Moment 2024Organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper, the event took place at the Military Radio and Television Center, Hanoi.

The organizers awarded the Top 10 prizes.The Journalistic Moment of 2024for authors whose works won Special, Gold, Silver, Bronze prizes in the three categories Current Affairs, Social Life, and Sports.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, on behalf of the leaders of Vietnam Journalists Association, affirmed that the Photo Award CeremonyPress moment 2024to honor the creativity and dedication of photojournalists across the country through diverse perspectives on life.

"I appreciate the seriousness and efforts of the organizing committee in constantly innovating, improving the quality of the awards as well as maintaining the prize structure with great value. The number of photos participating in this year's season is nearly double that of last year, along with many quality photo collections, which is proof that the photo awardPress moment"It has become a playground of great attraction for photojournalists across the country," Mr. Minh affirmed.

Not only increasing in quantity, this year's season also recorded many bright spots in quality: the topics were more diverse, most of the participating works reflected typical and important events of the country, showing that journalists closely followed the events, not afraid of hardship to capture outstanding moments on every path of work.

Photo SolutionPress moment2024 is the 6th time the big playground for journalists and photojournalists has been held. After nearly 3 months of launching (from July 15, 2024 to October 10, 2024), the award received nearly 400 works including single photos and photo series (with the number of up to thousands of photos), recording outstanding moments of social life in 2023 and the first 9 months of 2024.

During the competition, the organizing committee and the jury seriously, objectively and impartially carried out the evaluation stages thoroughly, organizing the scoring online and centrally. Based on the nominations of the jury, the organizing committee decided to select 50 outstanding works.

For the Sports category, the gold medal was awarded to the workGolden moments of Vietnamese sports at SEA Games 32by group of authors Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan, Nguyen Manh Quan.
