At 2:45 p.m. this afternoon, August 8, a series of accidents occurred between 8 cars on Phu My Bridge (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), causing 3 cars to burn and 3 people to be injured.
As of 5:00 p.m. on August 8, the Thu Duc City Police (Ho Chi Minh City) is still coordinating with relevant units to handle and investigate the cause of the multiple-vehicle accident.
According to the initial investigation, the car that caused the accident was identified as a truck with license plate 68H.000.68. The driver said that while going down Phu My bridge from District 7 to Thu Duc City, the car lost its brakes, causing the unfortunate accident.
After the strong collision, the front of the truck was burnt, while the two remaining cars were completely burned. The other cars were deformed, and many pieces of the vehicles were scattered all over the road.
Some victims were rescued by local people and taken to hospital.
