If office workers are not focused, irritable, have tinnitus, or tired eyes, their brains are at risk of anemia.

Acute cerebral ischemia can cause deafness and sudden vision loss.

Tired, difficult to concentrate

Coming to the Vietnam-Russia Hyperbaric Oxygen Center (Ministry of National Defense), Ms. Tran Thi Khanh (40 years old, residing in Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) said that she was often tired and ineffective at work. Many times, Ms. Khanh felt that she could not think. As a graphic designer, she needed to focus on creativity but was often in a state of "brain fog".

This woman also often felt tired, had pain all over her body, and felt depressed and irritable. Ms. Khanh went for a health check-up and the conclusion was that there was nothing unusual. She was still worried and suspected that she had a malignant disease, so she was screened for many cancers. Every day, Ms. Khanh felt like a ghost. The doctor prescribed hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help the patient regain her health.

Doctor Nguyen Huy Hoang - Vietnam - Russia High Pressure Oxygen Center (Ministry of Defense) said that Ms. Khanh's case is typical of cerebral anemia. This is a common disease of office workers, caused by work pressure, sitting for a long time in the wrong position...

According to Dr. Hoang, factors that cause cerebral anemia include iron deficiency, chronic bleeding due to hookworm, peptic ulcer, menorrhagia, hypermenorrhea, thalassemia, chronic diseases, and prolonged use of medication.

People over 40 years old have atherosclerosis, cervical spondylosis, fibrosis and inflammation of the muscles and ligaments in the neck, causing compression of the carotid/vertebral arteries. Some cases of endocrine disorders, premenopause, stress, insomnia, poor appetite, leading to autonomic nervous system disorders, anxiety disorders or mild depression.

When the brain is anemic, the body will compensate in many ways, reducing the amount of blood to less necessary places such as the fingertips and toes (causing cold extremities), other organs, changing the contraction and elasticity of blood vessels. This process takes place over a long period of time and we often do not feel the state of cerebral ischemia.

6 signs

Chronic cerebral ischemia causes different symptoms and affects the whole body. If you listen to the changes, you will know if you have it or not:

1. Head: Feeling heavy, stuffy, buzzing. You may have mild to severe headaches or migraines, and regular pain relievers quickly become ineffective.

2. Ears and eyes: The patient gets tired quickly, has blurred vision, and pain in both eye sockets. Tinnitus in both ears ranges from mild to severe, and can go away with rest.

3. Nervous system: When working, you feel a serious decrease in mental ability, inability to concentrate for long, memory loss, loss of interest in work, indifference to daily pleasures. The patient sleeps poorly, has difficulty falling asleep, wakes up easily and has difficulty falling back asleep at night, is restless, often dreams, wakes up lethargic, and lacks alertness during the day.

4. Psychology: Emotional, irritable for no reason.

5. Digestion: Some cases feel loss of appetite.

6. Bones and joints: People with cerebral anemia often have neck pain, back pain, and joint pain when the weather changes. They are considered weather forecasters.

In case of acute cerebral ischemia, the patient will face more dangers such as vestibular disorders due to sudden decrease in blood supply to the vestibule. Transient cerebral ischemia is caused by spasm or small blood clot causing blockage of a branch of artery in the brain and the blockage is cleared immediately.

Acute cerebral ischemia also causes deafness or sudden loss of vision, stroke due to cerebral infarction. Cases of acute cerebral ischemia are often found in people who are overweight, sedentary, diabetic, hyperlipidemic, and other chronic diseases.

Doctor Hoang recommends that office workers prevent cerebral anemia by increasing physical activity, having a reasonable diet, increasing consumption of fish, green vegetables and fruits with bright, deep colors. Supplement foods that are good for the brain, increasing blood circulation.

Be proactive in communication, limit social media and television, get good sleep, and closely control underlying diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and dyslipidemia.

To have a good night's sleep, Dr. Hoang believes that everyone should create a good sleep hygiene habit such as creating a cool bedroom space, adequate light, suitable music, avoiding strenuous exercise or watching emotional content before going to bed, and should exercise gently, eat a light meal, soak feet or take a warm bath before going to bed.
