The VinFuture Prize 2022 seeks and honors outstanding scientific and technological works that have had a positive impact during and after the pandemic, helping to sustainably develop the lives of millions of people.
VinFuture 2022 will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on the evening of December 20, 2022.
The VinFuture Foundation announced that the VinFuture Awards 2022 will take place on December 20 in Hanoi. The event will honor four scientific works that help revive and rebuild the lives of millions of people during and after the pandemic.
With the theme “Reviving and Reshaping”, the VinFuture Prize 2022 seeks and honors outstanding scientific and technological works that have had a positive impact during and after the pandemic, helping to sustainably develop the lives of millions of people around the planet.
The second season of the VinFuture Prize 2022 has surpassed both the quantity and quality of participating projects. Nearly 1,000 science and technology research projects from 71 countries on 6 continents were nominated (compared to 599 nominations received in 2021). Of these, 584 projects were nominated by the top 2% of the world's most cited scientists.
These are outstanding inventions and innovations in areas such as health, food, environment and sustainable energy, along with many other applied technologies in all aspects of life.
These projects have undergone a rigorous multi-round evaluation process by 12 members of the Preliminary Jury and 12 members of the Award Council, including influential scientists in academia, research and innovation globally.
Professor Sir Richard Henry Friend - Chairman of the VinFuture Prize Council said: "The VinFuture Prize 2022 honors outstanding innovations - breakthroughs in science and technology that have been rebuilding life around the world after the pandemic, helping us clearly see the healing role of science and technology in real life."
