On the afternoon of September 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that according to the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, on September 22, 2023, a fire and explosion occurred at a factory in Pingtung County, Taiwan (China), causing many casualties.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei proactively and actively contacted Taiwanese authorities to verify the information and find out if Vietnamese citizens were affected by the incident.

Following the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei will continue to closely monitor the incident, visit injured citizens and deploy necessary citizen protection measures.
