According to Vietnamese customs, no matter where they are in the country, every time Tet comes, families visit graves to show their respect and remember their parents, grandparents, and ancestors.

The tradition of the Vietnamese people is to always look back to their roots. Therefore, every time the Lunar New Year comes, descendants burn incense, pay respects, and visit graves to invite grandparents and ancestors to celebrate Tet and pray for their descendants to always be blessed with good health and peace.

According to the reporter, the market for votive offerings and fruits is currently very busy. This is the time before Tet, every family not only prepares Tet items, but also prepares offerings to Ong Cong Ong Tao and visits graves, burns incense to commemorate, as well as invite grandparents, parents, ancestors, and deceased relatives to celebrate Tet 2024. Normally, families visit graves from December 10 to 30 every year.

This is also an opportunity to teach each person to look back at their own morality, reminding adults to always live well with everyone and their parents.
