Fine for container truck driver going the wrong way on Hanoi-Bac Giang highway

While traveling on the Hanoi-Bac Giang expressway (passing Khoa Giang gas station), Mr. D. went the wrong way onto the expressway for about 2km.

On October 24, the Traffic Police Department, Bac Giang Provincial Police, announced that it had just drawn up an administrative violation record against driver NV D (born in 1981, residing in Que Vo, Bac Ninh) for the violation of "going in the wrong direction on the highway" according to the provisions of Point a, Clause 8, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP) regulating administrative sanctions in the field of road and railway traffic.

Driver D. will be fined from 16-18 million VND and have his driver's license revoked for 5-7 months.

Previously, on October 18, social networks reported about a container truck driver driving in the wrong direction on the Hanoi-Bac Giang highway.

The Traffic Police Department has urgently investigated and verified through the highway surveillance camera system the vehicles and drivers involved.

On October 21, the unit worked with driver NVD. At the police station, Nguyen.VD confessed to being a hired driver for VT Company in Que Vo, Bac Ninh.

On October 17, Mr. D. was assigned by the company to drive a vehicle carrying goods from Song Khe Industrial Park to Quang Chau Industrial Park (Bac Giang).

At about 11:20 p.m. the same day, while traveling on the Hanoi-Bac Giang expressway (passing Khoa Giang gas station), due to not paying attention to the sign, Mr. D. went the wrong way onto the expressway (about 2km).
