On the morning of December 1, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Hai Duong province coordinated with Nghia An commune (Ninh Giang) to receive the remains of martyr Luu Van Quynh, who died in 1968 during the resistance war against the US.
Martyr Luu Van Quynh, born in 1940 in Nghia An commune, died in 1968 on the Western front during the resistance war against the US to save the country. His remains were buried at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery in Quang Tri province.
After 55 years, the family and local authorities brought martyr Luu Van Quynh to rest at the martyr cemetery of Nghia An commune, fulfilling the wishes of the family, local authorities and people.
Nghia An commune has 198 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland. Currently, 131 martyrs' remains have been gathered and buried at the commune's martyr cemetery.
