VN-Index surpasses the psychological threshold of 1,300 points after the session on June 12

Yesterday's decline made investors cautious. The market therefore started today's session in a tug-of-war state. Many failures at the psychological threshold of 1,300 points made both buyers and sellers cautious. However, the positive point is that profit-taking pressure is not too strong. Confidence in the ability to overcome the resistance is somewhat dominant.

VN-Index traded moderately, staying near the reference level throughout the morning session, extending into the afternoon before stronger cash flow entered the market. The pull of bluechips helped the HoSE index return to green before 2 p.m.

However, in the 30 minutes before closing, the index skyrocketed. The pull of the two largest pillars of the market, banking and real estate, helped the VN-Index successfully overcome the resistance.

At the end of the session, VN-Index closed above 1,300 points, up 15.78 points (1.23%). This mark is also the highest since mid-2022. VN30-Index increased by more than 23 points (1.8%), reaching 1,331.81 points. On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index and UPCOM-Index both remained green.

Liquidity decreased slightly today, with transaction value on HoSE reaching more than 23,200 billion VND. Of which, the VN30 group traded more than 10,800 billion.

At the end of the session, green dominated the market, with 313 stocks increasing in price on the HoSE floor, compared to 124 stocks decreasing.

Investors' cash flow is still focused on three main sectors: banking, real estate and financial services.

VPB was the bluechip stock with the strongest increase today, adding more than 6%. FPT increased by more than 4%, MSN, MBB, SSI, BCM added more than 2%. On the other hand, POW, SAB decreased around 1%, PLX closed in red.

In the mid-cap segment, real estate, securities, and retail stocks were noticed. PDR added nearly 2%, NVL increased more than 1%, QCG, SCR, and DIG all had positive transactions.
