Honoring 20 works of literary and artistic theory and criticism

On the evening of December 29, the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art held an award ceremony of the Central Party Secretariat for works of theory and criticism of literature and art published in 2021 in Hanoi.

This year's awards from the Central Party Secretariat were presented to 20 works, including 15 books and 5 articles. In addition to the work Public Space in the Context of Transformation, which was awarded level A, 9 works were awarded level B, 8 works were awarded level C, and 2 works were awarded the Encouragement level.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded prizes to 12 groups with achievements in promoting literary and artistic theory and criticism.

Regarding the awarding situation, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky - Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art said that the awards were selected from 95 works, including 39 books and 56 articles, selected from nominations by central professional associations, local literary and art associations, institutes, academies, publishing houses, and press agencies.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky, the awarded works in three areas: general theory, literary theory and criticism, and theory and criticism of art forms are all elaborate, serious works with scientific and practical value; promptly address practical issues in literary and artistic life, have the effect of orienting theoretical and creative work; and fight against erroneous and distorted viewpoints in literary and artistic life.
