Opening on November 8, the prices of gold bars and plain rings were adjusted up by brands, after a sharp decrease of 6 million VND yesterday.
At 9:30 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold bars at 82 - 86.5 million VND per tael, an increase of 1 million VND for both buying and selling compared to yesterday.
24K plain rings also reversed this morning, increasing from 1 to 2 million VND, depending on the brand. Currently, the price of plain gold rings is about 5 million VND per tael lower than the peak set at the end of October.
Specifically, SJC is listed at 82 - 84.8 million, an increase of about 1 million VND in both buying and selling directions. DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group increased by 1.8 million VND in buying direction and 800,000 VND in selling direction, up to 82.8 - 84.6 million VND. Meanwhile, at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ), plain rings increased to 83.6 - 84.8 million VND.
In the international market, as soon as the US Federal Reserve (Fed) announced a 25 basis point (0.25%) interest rate cut, each ounce of spot gold recovered by 47 USD, to nearly 2,700 USD after a 100 USD drop yesterday.
