From December 29, ticket prices will increase at 47 BOT toll stations.

It is expected that from December 29, ticket prices at 47 BOT toll stations will be adjusted to increase.

The Ministry of Transport has just sent a document to the Vietnam Road Administration and BOT project enterprises regarding the adjustment of ticket prices in BOT contracts managed by the Ministry.

Accordingly, based on the proposal of the Vietnam Road Administration, the Ministry of Transport approved the adjustment of ticket prices of 44 BOT projects.

The Ministry requires project enterprises to check and review the list of toll collectors, toll rates, toll exemption and reduction subjects and complete procedures for adjusting project and toll station ticket prices in accordance with regulations; publicly announce the ticket price adjustment on mass media and relevant agencies.

Regarding the Vietnam Road Administration, the Ministry requires this unit to be responsible for checking, reviewing, supervising, and agreeing with project enterprises on the price and time of adjusting ticket prices for each project and toll station, ensuring that they do not exceed the prescribed maximum price.

According to the Vietnam Road Administration, after receiving instructions from the Ministry of Transport, the Administration held a meeting with investors and project enterprises and agreed on a plan to implement the adjustment of ticket prices at toll stations on the list.

At the meeting, 3 investors and project enterprises proposed not to adjust the ticket price (Cu Mong station of the Deo Ca road tunnel project; Km 1747 station of the Ho Chi Minh road expansion and upgrading project (QL14), section Km1738+148-Km1763+610, Dak Lak province; Km11+625 station of the National Highway 38 investment and upgrading project connecting QL1 with QL5 through Bac Ninh and Hai Duong provinces under the form of BOT contract).

Based on the above recommendation, the Vietnam Road Administration has compiled a total of 41 ticket price adjustment projects with a total of 47 toll stations.

The Department also requires investors and project enterprises to publicly announce and post prices and the time of applying new prices according to regulations...

After completing the fare adjustment procedure, coordinate with non-stop toll service providers to increase road use service prices at the correct price and at the correct time, and collect road use service fees in accordance with regulations.
