Exhibition opening ceremonyBuddhist Books 2024will take place at 6:00 p.m. on August 16, jointly organized by 4 units specializing in publishing and distributing Buddhist books: Huong Trang, Van Lang, Vinh Nghiem, Thai Ha Books.

The exhibition will introduce newly published books such as: Book seriesBasic Buddhism(Ari Ubeysekara, translated by Thuy Nguyen, edited by Thich Quang Lam),Theravada Buddhist Nuns of VietnamEnglish - Vietnamese bilingual version (Dr. Kim Lan),Origin of Buddhist meditation(Alexander Wynne),Modern Buddhism(Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh),Family Stories - Being a filial child,book seriesStill Thought Language(Venerable Master Cheng Nghiem),The secret to peace(Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung)...

The exhibition also displays rare books, scriptures written on palm leaves, and 17th-century Vietnamese woodblocks. Readers and Buddhists can experience printing Buddhist scriptures on woodblocks and printing water-wood paintings. Thai Ha Books and the Zen in Every Minute group will give awayDhammapadapocket,bookThe Secret of Peace,About the Stream-entry Fruition,Buddha's teachings… for readers.

Events at the exhibition include: Book introductionFamily matters-Be a good childand exchange with the translator - Venerable Van Loi Quan Nhu (7:00 p.m. August 16); Book seriesStill Thought Languageby Venerable Master Cheng Nghiem (8:30 a.m., August 17); Introducing the book seriesBasic Buddhismand exchange with translator Thuy Nguyen and Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of Thai Ha Book Company (9am, August 18).

Mr. Nguyen Huu Cu, a member of the organizing committee, said that the exhibition and book introduction aim to remind us of the Buddha's merits, helping us to love and respect our parents more, "the Buddha in each of our homes".

"I really hope that Buddhist culture will be known by many people and spread far and wide, not only in Vietnam but all over the world," said Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, a member of the organizing committee.

Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung said that in addition to the Buddhist books being published, he and his colleagues will make an English version.
