In the Truong My Lan case, any bondholder is pitiful, because they have suffered too much damage, both economically and mentally.
I believe that all bondholders in the Truong My Lan - Van Thinh Phat case hope to receive full and intact compensation.
The Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency has temporarily collected about VND8,000 billion from the judgment enforcement money of Ms. Truong My Lan and other litigants to ensure the judgment enforcement. During the first phase of the judgment enforcement process, this unit is actively handling the secured assets to recover money and assets according to the content of the judgment. After the appeal judgment (phase 2) takes effect, priority will be given to paying the temporarily collected amount and the money collected from handling the secured assets to the bondholders in accordance with the law.
The above unit has also officially launched the hotline 1900599802 (operating 24/7) to answer and support people in the process of exercising their rights and obligations related to the execution of the judgment in the Truong My Lan - Van Thinh Phat case.
The Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency also coordinated with Tan Viet Securities Company - TVSI to guide bondholders to provide documents, including a request to receive notice of judgment enforcement and receive money by bank transfer according to the form; citizen identification card or passport (for individuals), business registration certificate or establishment and operation license (for organizations); and confirmation of bank account information.
First of all, this is good news for the bondholders involved in the incident. They are the unfortunate ones, who were unlucky when the money that should have been saved was transferred to buy bonds and more importantly, bought in the wrong place. Now, those “unwilling” bondholders have received information that they will be compensated. Are they happy? After so much worry, they have waited until this day, so they must be happy.
But it is not clear how much compensation they will receive. According to the document sent by the Ho Chi Minh City enforcement agency, the summary content is as follows: the bondholder agrees to receive compensation after deducting the enforcement fee and other costs according to regulations (if any).
In the case of fraud and property appropriation when issuing bonds of Van Thinh Phat, whether people knew what they were investing money in was bonds, or were so naive that they did not know, the truth is that over the past few years, they spent money but did not receive any interest. Instead, there was a feeling of confusion and anxiety, and in many families, this was the cause of arguments, conflicts, and cracks.
If they hadn’t been involved in the incident, they would probably be enjoying the interest from their savings by now. But life doesn’t have that “if”.
However, it is not clear how much compensation will be paid, and many additional fees will be incurred. Mixed feelings.
We know that the law must be followed. But in this case, no matter what, any bondholder is pitiful, because they have suffered too much damage, both economically and mentally. We only hope that the legal agencies will review carefully and consider the situation with reason so that the bondholders can receive the most appropriate compensation.
