The pilot organization of Tue Tinh culinary street will create a cultural and culinary space, thereby promoting and consuming products and specialties of Hai Duong province.
On the afternoon of April 10, Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee chaired the April meeting of the Provincial People's Committee (3rd time) to review and resolve a number of contents and reports reported by the Departments of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Health, Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial People's Committee Office, and Hai Duong City People's Committee.
At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee agreed on the policy of building a Tue Tinh culinary street. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested Hai Duong City to study and develop a plan for organization and management, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to do business conveniently within the street. The city needs to base on legal regulations and actual situations to orient and develop the culinary street; pay attention to ensuring traffic safety, food hygiene and safety, fire prevention and fighting, and ensuring security and order.
According to the People's Committee of Hai Duong City, the pilot organization of Tue Tinh culinary street (Binh Han ward) will create a cultural and culinary space, thereby promoting and consuming the province's products and specialties, meeting the needs of spiritual culture, entertainment, and experience of the people, attracting tourists, and stimulating consumption. In addition, the organization of the culinary street will overcome the situation of violating urban order by encroaching on sidewalks for business on Tue Tinh street and neighboring streets.
Hai Duong City proposed to divide the event space into two areas. Area 1 from the intersection with Dien Bien Phu Street to Tran Nguyen Han Street currently has 50 service businesses, and will have urban sidewalks renovated and lanes divided for pedestrians. Area 2 from the intersection with Tran Nguyen Han Street to Ngo Quyen Street has no businesses, and will be invested in and highlighted.
The street operates from 6-12pm every Friday and major holidays. The street operates on the principle of self-balancing revenue and expenditure, the city budget only supports environmental sanitation, lighting systems, etc. Tue Tinh Food Street is expected to open on April 30 and May 1.
