Da Lat and Da Nang are two of the most sought-after domestic tourist destinations by Vietnamese tourists, while Bangkok and Singapore are the top international destinations.
The domestic and international destinations that Vietnamese tourists search for the most during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays will be places with cool climates. This is the result of a study announced by Booking.com, one of the leading companies in the field of digital tourism, today, April 17.
According to Booking.com's 2024 travel forecast report, which tracks searches from March 17 to April 6 (with check-in dates from April 26 to May 1), 75% of Vietnamese travelers are looking for cool destinations to escape the heat as average temperatures continue to rise.
This demand is clearly demonstrated by the sudden increase in searches for Da Lat, a city famous for its cool mountain air and peaceful landscape. Da Lat is also at the top of the list of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists this holiday season.
In addition, up to 82% of domestic tourists expressed interest in destinations near the sea because of the relaxing atmosphere they bring. Topping the list is Da Nang - a city famous for its charming beaches and bustling nightlife, followed by Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hoi An, Phan Thiet and Mui Ne...
According to Booking, the top 10 domestic destinations searched the most by Vietnamese tourists from April 26 to May 1, 2024 are Da Lat, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi, Phan Thiet, Mui Ne.
“Long holidays are not only the ideal time for people to take a break from their daily work, but also an opportunity to relax and unwind. According to our 2024 travel forecast report, up to 81% of Vietnamese travelers feel that their lives are enriched through travel,” said Mr. Varun Grover, Country Manager of Booking.com in Vietnam.

Not only domestic destinations but also neighboring cities in the Asia-Pacific region attract Vietnamese tourists. Bangkok leads the list of international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists, followed by Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.
Thailand continues to be a popular choice for Vietnamese tourists, with 3 out of the 10 most searched destinations being cities in the Land of Golden Pagodas.
