On the morning of October 14, Hai Duong Cheo Theater held a general rehearsal of the Cheo play "Than Tuong Yet Kieu" by author Tran Phuong Hanh, directed by Meritorious Artist, Dr. Le Tuan Cuong.
The Cheo play "Than Tuong Yet Kieu" brings together 40 artists and actors from the Cheo Theater to participate.
The Cheo play lasted for more than 2 hours, gathering 40 artists and actors from the Cheo Theater.
The play praises the talent, bravery and loyalty of the famous general Yet Kieu, a talented general who helped the Tran Dynasty army and people defeat the invading Yuan-Mongol army in the 13th century. After his death, the king built a temple in Ha Bi village, Yet Kieu commune (Gia Loc).
The play also depicts the image of simple, honest people who are willing to sacrifice and fight with all their might to protect the country from foreign invaders; recreating the naval battle of the Tran Dynasty army and people on the Bach Dang River in 1288.
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the rehearsal of the play has been postponed many times. The play's name was also changed from "Water General Tran Trieu" to "Divine General Yet Kieu".
After the rehearsal, based on the epidemic situation, Cheo Theater will have a plan to perform for the people.
