Organizing the "Charity Tet" in the Year of the Dragon ensures effectiveness and practicality

On the morning of December 28, Comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the regular December meeting (6th time) of the Provincial People's Committee to review the report content of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Departments of Planning and Investment, Information and Communications.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and gave opinions on the content of the report of the Provincial Red Cross Society on the plan to organize the program "Humanitarian Tet" in the Spring of Giap Thin.

After listening to the opinions of the delegates, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee concluded that the Provincial People's Committee agreed to the policy of implementing the program "Humanitarian Tet" in the year of the Dragon. This is an activity that shows the concern of the province and philanthropists for people in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year.

However, to implement the program most effectively, the Provincial Red Cross needs to review, coordinate, and finalize the content of the proposal. In particular, it is necessary to carefully review the subjects and the number of people receiving support. Consider the appropriate and practical level of support and gifts for the subjects. The organization process needs to be economical, cut down on indirect costs, and focus on financial resources to support the subjects.

Assigning Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung to directly take charge and direct this issue. The Provincial Red Cross Society coordinates with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to review and ensure that no truly disadvantaged people are left out; coordinates with the Department of Finance to review and guide the purchase of appropriate gifts according to regulations...

According to the plan of the Provincial Red Cross, the beneficiaries are poor and near-poor households, victims of Agent Orange; households affected by natural disasters, fires or unexpected risks falling into especially difficult circumstances; the elderly, orphans with no place to rely on; workers and laborers in difficult circumstances working in industrial zones... The form of assistance is in the form of money and goods (essential necessities).

The number of people receiving gifts is expected to be about 600. Each gift is worth 1.5 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and 500,000 VND in gifts. At the district level, each locality organizes a "Humanitarian Tet Market" program in the locality with a scale appropriate to its capacity and actual conditions. Each district-level "Humanitarian Tet" program strives to support at least 200 people, with each gift worth at least 300,000 VND.
