The above workers were born between 1984 and 2001 and were entering Korea for the first time.

With the new policy on COVID-19 prevention, these workers were welcomed by representatives of the Vietnam Labor Management Board in Korea and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD), assisted with immigration procedures at the airport and then taken to the training center for COVID-19 testing, while also providing knowledge on law, culture, labor safety as well as instructions on signing labor contracts and health check-ups...

Of these, 110 manufacturing workers will be sent to a training center in Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, while 43 fishing workers will be sent to a training center in Incheon City.

After a 3-day training period, these workers will be assigned to local businesses to work in their registered profession.

Sharing with reporters upon entering Incheon airport, Vu Van Phong, born in 1994, from Hai Duong, a manufacturing worker, said: "This is the first time I have set foot in Korea, and I have received very enthusiastic and thoughtful support. I will try to learn every day to adapt to Korean culture."

According to information from the EPS Office in Korea, currently, functional units of Vietnam and Korea are promoting work related to the fields of training, deposit and visa issuance for more than 6,000 Vietnamese workers so that they can enter Korea and work immediately in the last 6 months of 2022.
