Effectively implement policies and regulations in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.

On the morning of May 15, in Hanoi, the National Steering Committee for Searching, Collecting and Identifying Martyrs' Remains (referred to as National Steering Committee 515) held a conference to review the implementation of the Prime Minister's decisions regulating the regime, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Deputy Head of National Steering Committee 515 chaired the conference.

The conference was held in person at the Ministry of National Defense's conference hall, combined with online at 71 locations nationwide.

At the Hai Duong province bridge, Colonel Ho Sy Quyen, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 515 Steering Committee of Hai Duong province chaired the conference.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong commended and highly appreciated the results that agencies and units have achieved in the search and collection of martyrs' remains and suggested that in the coming time, ministries, departments, branches, units and localities need to continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; continue to promote information and propaganda work, raise awareness of all levels, branches, leaders and commanders of agencies, units and localities regarding the search and collection of martyrs' remains. Effectively implement policies and regimes for organizations and individuals in the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong requested agencies and units from the central to local levels to estimate and allocate funding sources, ensure that they are correct, sufficient, and timely, and propose additional equipment and means necessary to meet the requirements of the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains. Strengthen inspection and supervision; summarize, summarize, and draw lessons; commend and reward collectives and individuals with achievements, promptly detect and correct wrongdoings and negative behaviors in implementing policies and regulations on ensuring the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains...

According to the report at the conference, from 2013 to now, the whole country has searched for and collected 21,228 martyrs' remains, partly meeting the expectations of the people and relatives of martyrs' families, contributing to stabilizing the political and social situation in localities, increasing people's trust in the Party and State's guidelines, policies and strategies.

At the conference, the National Steering Committee 515 commended 26 groups and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in directing and implementing policies and regimes and ensuring the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.

In Hai Duong, from 2018 to 2022, the province has established 5 temporary collection teams to search, collect, and bring 31 martyrs' remains to martyrs' cemeteries. The provincial Steering Committee 515 has proposed to the province to mobilize more than 171 billion VND from the local budget to support the construction, renovation, and upgrading of works honoring martyrs, martyrs' graves, and the relocation of martyrs' remains. The management and use of funds for the search and collection of martyrs' remains are strictly implemented, for the right purpose, and in accordance with principles.
