According to the owners of some broom production facilities in Ly Do broom craft village, Tan Viet commune (Binh Giang), after the Lunar New Year, due to the expanded consumer market and increased orders, workers have stable jobs and good incomes.
Currently, workers at broom production facilities here are paid by product. Each broom worker earns 200,000-300,000 VND/day, an increase of 50,000 VND/day compared to previous months. After Tet, there were many orders so the facility owner increased wages and workers focused on making more products than before Tet.
Ly Do village currently has about 10 broom production facilities, creating jobs for nearly 500 workers, mainly locals. In addition to domestic consumption, Ly Do brooms are also exported abroad.
