TikToker No O No is facing a boycott from artists and the public. Thu Minh is also involved in the scandal when she continuously collaborates with this person who creates dirty content.

In the past few days, TikToker No O No's name has occupied the media spotlight in a negative way. After a clip of him bringing food to the poor but having a contemptuous attitude and making offensive statements, TikToker No O No is facing a wave of boycott from the public.

Le Thuy, Masew, Trung Quan Idol, Cao Thien Trang, Hua Kim Tuyen... and many other artists simultaneously protested against No O No's unethical and unscrupulous actions. In addition, they announced their refusal to buy or use the services of any brand or restaurant that invited No O No to review.

As someone who has collaborated with No O No in several products on TikTok, Thu Minh was also implicated. The audience asked the female singer to delete the clip and take tough action against the infamous TikToker who behaved in an offensive manner.

Thu Minh has quietly deleted the clips related to the TikToker who made this dirty content, but the female singer has not spoken out about the incident. The above incident shows the risk of Vietnamese artists when collaborating with KOLs. If not carefully calculated, regardless of inviting controversial TikTokers, the image and brand of many artists will be more or less affected.

Thu Minh collaborates with infamous TikToker

On November 25, TikToker No O No (or Tuan Brice) was harshly criticized by the online community after posting the clip "No O No feeds the poor whatever they eat."

This video is part of the TikToker’s “A Kind Day” series, which involves approaching homeless and disadvantaged people and asking them what they like to eat so he can buy it for them. However, the way this person uses words is considered disrespectful and contemptuous of the vulnerable in society.

In this clip, the male TikToker used many offensive phrases such as "Hello poor old lady in the lonely winter", "You're poor and still complain about the food, so don't eat it. Now ask again if you'll eat it or not?", "Pho is so cheap but you don't have money to buy it anymore?", "Stop being poor, no one will help you forever"...

Before becoming the target of community calls for boycott, No O No was already a notorious TikToker. The owner of the TikTok account @tuanbride with more than 600K followers used to go to many restaurants, create review content, mainly criticizing.

Many times, this person got into verbal battles with the owner of the Chang Hi tea brand, Trang Tran, and the owner of the Ty Thy salad shop. Many stores even posted pictures of No O No on their doors with the words "Please do not receive guests here".

Despite receiving negative feedback, No O No did not stop but continued to produce dirty content, rude words, and rude actions to attract attention. Notably, many stores were willing to cooperate with this TikToker for "black PR", creating clips in which No O No "destroyed the restaurant" or threw/poured food into the faces/of restaurant staff.

Despite being involved in many scandals and being criticized, this TikToker still collaborates with artists. Thu Minh still collaborates with this person and makes many clips on TikTok recently. The two have produced many clips with the content: "Breaking into Thu Minh's private house to review a 30 million VND chicken noodle bowl"; "Spending 400 million to meet singer Thu Minh and listen to her sing"...

When No O No was boycotted, audiences flooded Thu Minh's fanpage and TikTok channel to ask the singer to delete clips related to this character. Many fans left mixed comments about an A-list artist of Vietnamese showbiz collaborating with someone who creates dirty content.

The action of removing the clip related to No O No is a necessary action to handle the media crisis. However, this is also a lesson for her and many other artists when deciding to work with the infamous TikToker.

Risks when artists collaborate with TikTokers

In the explosive growth of social network TikTok, the entertainment industry is not out of the game. Movies, music, fashion… all seek to change and quickly catch up with trends.

Many ordinary people, but after just a few videos of dancing or lip-syncing to create trends on TikTok, attracting millions of views, quickly became internet phenomena. In Vietnam, the number of hot Tiktokers increased exponentially.

Catching the trend, in recent years, many artists have sought out hot TikTokers to collaborate and promote their products... Some singers invite hot TikTokers to act in MVs. Many directors invite hot TikTokers to act in movies. Producers spend large sums of money hoping that famous TikTokers will appear in game shows, reality TV shows...

However, the collaboration between artists and TikTokers is like a double-edged sword, fraught with many risks. In fact, many game shows, music products, and fashion events have become chaotic and chaotic due to the presence of notorious TikTokers. Some artists have been affected by TikTokers' scandals. The incident between Thu Minh and No O No above is a typical example.

Mr. Hong Quang Minh - who has many years of experience in managing and communicating with artists - commented that today, the need to promote products, or more broadly, PR the artist's name is always present and growing.

The emergence of new social networks attracts attention, and sometimes entertainment stars are at a disadvantage compared to famous TikTokers here. Therefore, some artists have sought out hot TikTokers for short-term or product-based collaborations.

However, if you do not carefully calculate and choose the right TikToker to cooperate with, the artist's image and reputation will be more or less affected.

"There are currently a large number of TikTokers and Content Creators. That's why artists have the opportunity to choose. Not everyone who has a lot of likes and followers has a successful project. It depends on the content on that person's channel. That's why the "opportunity" to avoid TikTokers who show signs of creating controversial topics is not difficult," Hong Quang Minh shared.

Anh Minh also emphasized that during the working process, artists should choose KOLs with smaller influence, but with quality content, curiosity, and criticism based on healthy topics, which will effectively promote the product.
