Dissolved oxygen (DO) parameters in the downstream area of Thuong River before flowing into Thai Binh River and Kinh Thay River in Hai Duong do not meet environmental standards.
According to the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection (Department of Natural Resources and Environment), the results of water sample analysis on June 23 in the downstream area of Thuong River before flowing into Thai Binh River and Kinh Thay River in Hai Duong province (at the location of the automatic, continuous environmental monitoring station in Nhan Hue commune, Chi Linh city) showed this. The parameter is always less than 4 mg/l and there are many times when DO is equal to 0.015 mg/l. Meanwhile, according to the national technical regulation on surface water quality (QCVN08-MT:2015/BTNMT) applied to assess the quality of water used for irrigation, water resources or other uses (B1), the DO index must be greater than or at least equal to 4 mg/l.
Faced with the above reality, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns with the Thuong, Thai Binh and Kinh Thay river systems flowing through them, direct specialized departments and offices to coordinate with People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to inform organizations and individuals using surface water for aquaculture in the area as soon as possible to know and take timely response measures, minimizing the level of impact and damage to livestock and crops.
