Message of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping during his visit to Vietnam

On the afternoon of April 14, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping arrived in Hanoi, starting a two-day State visit to Vietnam from April 14-15, at the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping delivered a message after arriving at Noi Bai International Airport.

"I am very pleased to begin my fourth State visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade To Lam, and the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Comrade Luong Cuong.

On behalf of the Communist Party of China, the Government and the people of China, I would like to send to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Government and the people of Vietnam my warm greetings and best wishes," General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping emphasized.

According to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, 2025 is a year of special significance for Vietnam, marking the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people are moving forward, realizing the two 100-year goals of the Party and the country.

People's lives are constantly improving, international and regional position is increasingly solid, socialist industrialization and modernization have achieved many encouraging results.

"China is sincerely pleased with these achievements. I believe that, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by Comrade To Lam, Vietnam will certainly continue to firmly follow the path of socialism in accordance with the practical conditions of the country, successfully achieve the goals set at the 13th National Party Congress, prepare well for the 14th National Party Congress, and open new pages for the development of the Party and the country," General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping emphasized.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping emphasized that China and Vietnam are two neighboring socialist countries, linked by mountains and rivers, closely linked; a community sharing a future of strategic significance.

During the years of fighting for independence and freedom, the two countries stood side by side, helped each other, and fostered a deep friendship "both as comrades and as brothers".

On the path of building socialism suitable to national characteristics, the two sides continue to move forward together, learn from each other, and vividly demonstrate the bright prospects of the socialist path.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping said that during his state visit to Vietnam in 2023, the two sides jointly declared the building of a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance. That declaration opened a new stage of development in the relationship between the two Parties and the two States.

This year, the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and also the 2025 China-Vietnam People's Cultural Exchange Year, creating new opportunities to promote the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future.

On this historic milestone, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping affirmed that China is ready to work with Vietnam to preserve and promote the long-standing traditional friendship, share the noble mission, seize the opportunities of the times, strengthen cooperation with higher standards, in many fields and at a deeper level, to bring more practical benefits to the people of the two countries, the region and the world.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping said that during this visit, he will have in-depth discussions with senior leaders of Vietnam on overall and strategic issues related to the development direction of relations between the two Parties and two countries, as well as international and regional issues of mutual concern, thereby jointly planning a new development roadmap for the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future.

Concluding his message, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping wished the Socialist Republic of Vietnam greater prosperity and happiness for its people; wished the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam to last forever; wished the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future to have strategic significance and reap even greater achievements.
