Strengthening solidarity, friendship and traditional relations between Vietnam and Laos

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), recently, a delegation from the Lao Embassy in Australia led by Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh came to congratulate the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia.

In Sydney, at the meeting, Ambassador Manivanh congratulated the great achievements that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have achieved over the past 78 years, emphasizing the significance of the traditional relationship, comprehensive cooperation, special solidarity and great friendship between the two countries, and affirming that peace, stability and prosperity of Laos have important contributions from Vietnam.

In the context that the whole world is facing many challenges, significantly affecting the socio-economy and people's lives, the Governments and people of the two countries are determined to support each other, demonstrating the comradely and brotherly affection and the tradition of mutual love between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples.

Thanking Ambassador Manivanh for his best wishes on the occasion of Vietnam's National Day, Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh expressed his joy at the important achievements in economic growth and international integration that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved in the past year.

The Ambassador also expressed his delight at the new steps forward in the special solidarity and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, clearly demonstrated through the official visit of Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong to Laos last April.

Regarding cooperation between the two Embassies, Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh expressed his hope that the two agencies would strengthen coordination and support each other, helping to deepen the good relationship between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, contributing to promoting effective bilateral cooperation as well as in regional and multilateral frameworks.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff of the two Embassies shared and reviewed the affection, tradition of solidarity and brotherhood of the two countries' generations in the historical journey of protecting and building the country.
