Establishing a Management Board to pilot the Bach Dang walking street and night market will facilitate management and organize activities more systematically and closely.
The Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee has decided to establish a Management Board to pilot the Bach Dang walking street and night market, headed by Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuc, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee.
The Management Board advises the City People's Committee to organize pilot activities of walking streets and night markets according to the project and guiding documents.
Develop plans to attract organizations and individuals to participate in business and service activities; organize cultural, artistic, tourism, sports, entertainment, communication activities, ensure security and order, traffic, food hygiene, fire prevention, environmental sanitation, etc.
The Management Board is allowed to recruit civil servants, public employees and workers from departments, offices and units under the City People's Committee to assist.
Bach Dang walking street and night market came into operation on April 28, held every Saturday and Sunday, directly managed by Hai Duong City People's Committee. After coming into operation, the street basically achieved its set goals, being a cultural, commercial and culinary space attracting a large number of people to participate, especially workers, youth and laborers in the area. On average, the street attracts 5,000 - 7,000 people from inside and outside the province and foreign tourists to visit, eat and shop.
