Singer, Doctor of Music Tan Nhan has just experienced the incident of losing his voice.

Doctor of Music, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan has just released his first online DVD called"Ha Tinh people have love"with 9 songs with Central folk melodies, praising the beauty of the people and homeland of Central Vietnam.

The album was released on the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 as a New Year's greeting and a thank you from Tan Nhan to the audience who have always loved and stood by her through all the ups and downs of life and career.

This is a special album in Tan Nhan's career because this music product marks the "revival" of Tan Nhan's voice.

For the past two years, the female singer has had to overcome despair when facing the risk of losing her voice every day. According to Tan Nhan's perception, she has lost up to 80% of her singing ability, due to exhaustion after giving birth and having contracted COVID-19 three times.

Until one day not long ago, Tan Nhan accidentally heard his student sing the song"Ha Tinh people have love"on television. Listening to the song, Tan Nhan's tears suddenly flowed because she wondered how there could be a song with such a loving, emotional and beautiful melody. The artist's emotions suddenly arose intensely, she realized the great and passionate love of singing from her heart. From then on, Tan Nhan was determined to recover at all costs.

“When an artist feels inspired by music, it is a huge motivation, urging them to overcome everything to live with music,” Tan Nhan shared.

Of course, after two years of struggling to find a cure, getting her singing voice back was an extremely difficult journey. She had to practice breathing and vocal training like a new student at music school. The hours in class with her students were also the times she practiced with her students.

The day she entered the studio, Tan Nhan cried and sang because she found the things she used to do so easily, and the things that musicians praised for recording super fast and effectively, now so difficult. Even though she was filled with emotions with the music, even though she herself was trembling with emotion, the damage to her larynx made Tan Nhan helpless at times.

However, Tan Nhan's efforts were well rewarded. She successfully recorded 9 songs for the album and filmed in Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Tan Nhan's album includes 9 songs:"Ha Tinh people have love"(music: Luu Ha An, lyrics: Lan Dung);"Missed appointment with Lam river"(music: Xuan Hoa, poetry: Nguyen Xuan Tu);"Finding you, fishing in Lam River"(Ngo Sy Ngoc);"Afternoon rain in Central Vietnam"(Hong Xuong Long);"Waiting and waiting"(Ngoc Thinh);“Memories of Lam River”(music: Tuan Phuong, lyrics: Thai Duy Long);"Far from home"(Tran Van Cuong);"About the beloved Nghe An"(Hainan);"Missing home"(Minh Vy).

Also participating in the album with Tan Nhan, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Head of the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music, said that at first he was very hesitant because he is a traditional chamber artist, while Tan Nhan is a folk artist. He was worried about whether this combination would be suitable. However, after Tan Nhan sent him the demo arrangement, he felt "fascinated" when the song was renewed, luxurious, and completely different from other arrangements.

“The new arrangement of the song leans towards chamber music, very elegant, and evokes many memories. When I listen to it, I remember the war years, the wartime stories my father used to tell. The song was recorded at Dong Loc T-junction, which further enhances our emotions,” People’s Artist Quoc Hung shared.

In addition to People's Artist Quoc Hung, singer Tan Nhan also collaborated with singer Luong Nguyet Anh and Music Doctor Thu Ha in this album.

The album will be released on global digital platforms such as: Spotify, Qoobuz, Apple Music, iTunes Store, Deezer, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Amazon Music, iHeartRADIO...
