According to information from the People's Committee of Ha Tay Commune, Chu Pah District (Gia Lai), at 8:30 a.m. on August 1, the Rong house of Kon Bah village caught fire. Local people and authorities mobilized materials and 64 fire extinguishers to put out the fire. However, because the Rong house was made entirely of bamboo, wood and thatched roof, it was completely burned down. Thanh Hoa City Police, Thanh Hoa Province, has just investigated, clarified and arrested two subjects: Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1992, residing in Dan Luc Commune, Trieu Son District, Thanh Hoa Province) and Le Anh Thang (born in 1980, residing in Dong My Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi City) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on July 31 filed a petition with the country's Supreme Court requesting that the results of the July 28 presidential election be verified and certified. President Maduro requested that the Supreme Court summon relevant organizations to "compare all evidence and conduct professional assessments at the highest technical level, thereby certifying the election results."
