On the morning of February 13 (the 4th day of Tet), the People's Committee of Tu Ky district (Hai Duong) organized the 2024 National Wrestling Championship.
This year’s tournament featured 30 wrestlers from 6 clubs in An Thanh, Van To, Hung Dao communes and Tu Ky town. The wrestlers competed in 5 weight categories: under 50kg, 50-55kg, 55-60kg, 60-65kg and over 65kg.
After 1/2 day of exciting competition, An Thanh Commune Wrestling Club excellently won the first prize overall, Thanh Ky Village Club won the second prize and Van To Commune Club won the third prize. The organizing committee also awarded additional branch prizes and prizes to wrestlers participating in the wrestling match.
The Tu Ky district ethnic wrestling tournament is held annually to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the new year. At the same time, it contributes to preserving the traditional sport typical of the "rươi cáy" land.
