Launching book on military policy and defense strategy of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

On July 18, the Central Propaganda Department and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a ceremony to introduce the book Some issues on military guidelines and defense strategies in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new period by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - Secretary of the Central Military Commission.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - and many delegates from ministries, departments and branches attended the ceremony.

With 39 articles, speeches, and interviews by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the book demonstrates the consistent and thorough thinking of the head of our Party on leadership, direction, and strategies to protect the Fatherland in the new period.

The book is a valuable document, demonstrating the profound understanding and strategic thinking of the leader of our Party on Vietnam's military and defense policies.

The book consists of three parts.

Part one, titled Building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army in the new era, includes 21 articles, speeches, and interviews with the General Secretary on military guidelines, defense strategies, and directions for building the army to meet mission requirements in the new context.

Part 2: Building a strong, compact, and modern military force that meets mission requirements in all situations, including 18 articles, speeches, and addresses by General Secretary and Secretary of the Central Military Commission Nguyen Phu Trong to military branches, service branches, academies, and schools.

The third part is the article General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary of the Central Military Commission - A person with dialectical thinking and strategic vision in building military guidelines, national defense strategies, and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - emphasized that the book is not only meaningful to the military force.

It is also meaningful for Party committees, Party organizations, sectors, levels, cadres and Party members to clearly understand, grasp and thoroughly grasp the national defense policy, people's war, and the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; promote the role and responsibility of the political system in participating in building and consolidating a strong national defense, solid defense of military regions and defense areas at all levels.

Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested that Party committees and organizations in the army need to organize study, research, and thoroughly grasp the book's content in Party cell activities; and connect it to the practical work of their agencies, units, and localities where they are stationed.

The national defense education system, especially military academies, political schools, and universities, based on the content of the book, needs to develop learning and research materials on military guidelines, defense strategies, and the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new period.
