Subject Pham Thi Le Thanh
The Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Province Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Pham Thi Le Thanh for fraud and property appropriation.
In December 2022, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police received a report from a number of people in the province about being defrauded by a fraudster while preparing labor export documents.
Through investigation, the authorities have identified the suspect as Pham Thi Le Thanh, born in 1977, residing in Tan Tien village, Dai Duc commune (Kim Thanh). At that time, Thanh was temporarily residing in Kim Doi 3 village, Huu Bang commune, Kien Thuy district (Hai Phong). She had lived and worked in South Korea for a while. Due to greed, Thanh planned to defraud workers to work in South Korea.
From June to November 2022, the subject provided a series of false information about the possibility of sending workers to work in Korea under the E8 and E9 visas of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with a total cost of 100 million VND/person. Workers only need to deposit 35 million VND, submit their original passports and send a photo of their citizen identification cards. After that, Thanh will be responsible for completing all the procedures. Within 2 months, if they cannot go, Thanh will return the deposit, documents and passports.
During that time, Thanh received applications from dozens of cases in need of labor export residing in the provinces of Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh with a total amount of more than 1.5 billion VND. The entire amount of money collected was appropriated by the subject for personal purposes without any cases of labor export as promised.
