That is Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, Director of Hong Gia Joint Stock Company, Vice President of Hai Duong Province Women Entrepreneurs Association.
The first time I met Ms. Nhung was when she took on the role of MC at the meeting on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day organized by the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association on the morning of October 11. Born in 1952, she was still the one who started the excitement of the meeting. Not only did she host the cultural exchange program, Ms. Nhung also directly participated in singing, dancing...
Both Mrs. Nhung and her husband came from a poor rural area in Tu Ky district. In the late 1990s, she retired early from the Hai Duong Town Food and Hotel Company. At that time, to earn income for her family, she opened a clothing store at home at 21 Ho Chi Minh Avenue. She actively participated in the activities of the Nguyen Trai Ward Women's Association, and was a founding member of the Hai Duong Women Entrepreneurs Club in 2000, which is also the predecessor of the Hai Duong Women Entrepreneurs Association (established in 2012).
With the support of the Canadian Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Women's Union of Hai Duong province, she and other members of the club actively studied and gained business experience through seminars and visits to domestic and international models. Then she borrowed money from her siblings and friends to set up a garment factory for major textile brands at that time such as Nam Dinh Textile, 10/10 Textile...
In 2005, she founded Hong Gia Private Enterprise, now Hong Gia Joint Stock Company. From a garment processing workshop with 50 sewing machines in Tam Giang street, she quickly developed many small workshops in Tu Ky, Thanh Ha, Nam Sach districts... with over 200 sewing machines, creating jobs with stable income for about 300 workers, most of whom are women, some of whom are disabled.
“At that time, I was very happy and passionate because I had created many jobs for people, most of whom were from rural areas like me before,” Ms. Nhung said.
Also from actively participating in the association's activities, she had the opportunity to approach the VF Group, a global garment and accessories company (USA). In 2006, after leaving her garment factories to others, she borrowed money from the bank and rented land to invest 24 billion VND to build a factory specializing in producing tulle fabric for export in Nam Sach Industrial Park. Currently, her business maintains a stable annual revenue of about 30 billion VND, creating stable jobs for over 50 workers, with an average income of over 10 million VND/person/month.
In addition to taking care of the development of her family business, Ms. Nhung always actively supports other members and takes the lead in participating in charity and social security activities of the Hai Duong Women Entrepreneurs Association such as the program "Godmother connects love"; giving Tet gifts to poor women; giving cows to poor farmers; giving gifts to poor students who overcome difficulties...
“Ms. Nhung is a senior of our Women Entrepreneurs Association. Despite her age, she is always active and proactive in all the work of the association. As Vice President of the association, she is always at the forefront of all charity activities, contributing to social security,” said Ms. Le Thi Hai Van, Director of Thanh Cong Trading and Transport Company Limited, Vice President of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Hai Duong province.
In recognition of her efforts and contributions, in 2022, the Provincial People's Committee awarded her a certificate of merit. Previously, in the years 2016-2021, she was also repeatedly awarded by the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs; the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry; and the Provincial Women's Union.
