-Some people say Quang Teo is the richest comedian in the North?

-Oh my gosh, how funny. There are artists who buy houses worth tens of billions, and even large farms. They own many houses. Compared to them, what am I? I bought this land for only 250 million VND per sao. I was 60 years old to build a house, it was so hard! If I was young and owned such assets, then you would praise me, but I am 60 years old.
That means you see yourself as… average?

-Of course I am luckier than many of my colleagues. That is because I have received the “blessings” of my ancestors. God has also given me health to “run”. An artist once told me: If I were as famous as you, I wouldn’t have the strength to travel like you. I love my job so I can overcome it. One time I performed in Dien Bien tonight, and tomorrow night I performed in Nam Dinh, and I drove myself. My working capacity is terrible. Once when I went to have my car serviced, when I was done, the employee brought the car out to me and said: Oh, Quang Teo, you are a famous artist, but you also drive a taxi? I ​​was surprised and asked: Why do you say that? Then I realized he was teasing me because I drove too much.

If you want to be like Quang Teo, you have to work hard, right?

- I work hard to achieve such results. Some young people ask, how to be rich like you? I say: You call me uncle, which means there is a big gap between my age and yours. But I also advise them, from my life experience: If you want to have a life, you have to be diligent, do business honestly and properly, and don't be hasty when you see other people are rich and want to get rich quickly.

-I have attended a few longevity celebrations or weddings. People who like me invite me to socialize, not to act.

-You are so friendly! Even though you are famous, it seems you are not picky about where you appear?

-I am an artist of the people, regardless of rich or poor, high-ranking or peasant. I have received support from many people when I build my house. All the trees in my house, I did not have to buy any, they were all gifts. Recently, someone even lifted a truckload of very strange and beautiful green trees to give to me.

Your wife is not an artist. What do you think is the benefit of marrying such a woman?

-There is no such thing as profit or loss. In the theater, people say that I am lucky to have a gentle wife, but in reality, that is not true. No one is gentle, no one is mean. If the husband is a destructive, destructive, drunkard, womanizer, what kind of wife can be gentle? It is all up to me. Up until now, besides the theater, whenever I have free time, I "run around", perform outside, make movies. If I devote myself to my family like that, no one will betray me.

Quang Teo has a variety of transformations, not only is he successful in funny roles, he also makes the audience cry "sweetly".

-In "Barefoot Tycoon" you play a womanizer, how did your wife react?

-Oh, you have to understand that it's a movie. There are dozens of people in the film crew, there's nothing to worry about. Secondly, I'm very busy, working like that, where do I have time to go out? My wife doesn't work, she just stays home to take care of the two kids. The two kids are twins, now in their first year of university.

-Your life is so fulfilling. If you had to choose again, would you still choose art?

-If I were given another life, I would still choose to stand under the spotlight. Artists are like silkworms, dying for their profession. I love my profession very much, I think it's not just art, if you stick with any profession, you have to love it, to hope for success.

-Why don't you create a YouTube channel to share your life, also as a source of income?

- No, I like quiet, not noise. I'm very shy. My wife is gentle, doesn't like appearing in public, and my children don't follow in their father's footsteps.

-At the age of 60, do you plan to reduce your "show" running to make it less tiring?

-No, that's my job. Actually, having a house adds to my burden. I have to pay for people to take care of the house, plants, animals... Then invite friends over to eat and hang out. This is a place of "consumption" not "reproduction".

-Can we call your house a villa?

-Yes, a garden villa. I worked very carefully, for almost 2 years. I surrounded every tree with stones. All the fences were covered with stones from the base of the wall. I was meticulous in every detail. I "received the blessing" of my ancestors, so I built this house so that if any film crew needed a filming location, I would lend it to them. But the house is not finished yet, the interior is still being completed. I don't want anyone to write about my house, but people keep writing, and they write incorrectly. Some people say it has 2 floors, others say they grow vegetables on top. That's the house from the past.

The villa is the "sweet fruit" of Quang Teo's decades of artistic labor.

-So, how many floors is your villa exactly?

-Three floors. This is where friends come to have fun. Or invite the whole family to come and play. My family has 3 brothers. My uncles all have children and grandchildren, there are many of them. Only by inviting them will it be spacious enough. Or for family gatherings. Everyone at the Army Theater knows that I have never bought anything to make a profit. I can't do business, I don't do anything, except art. I see for myself, there's no need to suffer like that. Just be passionate about your career, performing is hard but the pay is also okay. Doing too many jobs will be distracting, if you don't do anything but focus on art, use your brain, invest in performance techniques, then you will be more successful. How can you be good at both selling and doing art?
