After Tet, the peach blossom fields in Phu Lien village, Hong Phong commune, Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) start to bustle again, people are busy planting peach blossoms.

As one of the largest peach blossom orchards in the province, Phu Lien village currently has about 20 hectares of peach blossom trees, accounting for the majority of the flower growing area in this craft village. This year, Phu Lien farmers' income from peach blossoms has not fluctuated much compared to last year. These days, people are busy replanting and replanting peach trees to prepare for the Tet season next year.

Let's watch the bustling atmosphere in the peach blossom fields of Phu Lien village recorded by Hai Duong Newspaper reporter:

Most people here import peach roots from Lang Son at prices ranging from 400,000 to 2,500,000 VND/root, then plant and graft.

Peach trees rented before Tet were brought back to the garden by people to be replanted.

People remove small branches, keeping only the large base so that when replanted, the tree can easily survive and produce new shoots or graft other eyes.

Mr. Dang Van Vy has been growing peach trees in Phu Lien village since 1983 and has mastered grafting peach roots. In 40 years of working, Mr. Vy has grafted thousands of peach trees.

After planting, peach trees are covered with straw or duckweed and dry grass to retain moisture. Phu Lien farmers often buy a lot of straw stored from the crop to use gradually when planting peach trees.

Many peach trees planted before Tet also had their old soil removed to add new soil to the mound.

One of the biggest and most beautiful peach trees in Phu Lien village is preparing to be replanted.

Many peach growers in Phu Lien village have started using machines to dig soil, build mounds, and move peach trees to save labor.

Peaches don't like much water, in the current weather they only need to be watered once a week.

While the people of Phu Lien village are importing peach trees, Mr. Nguyen Huu Du's garden (born in 1979) is exporting the first batch of peach trees to a garden in Lam Dong (Da Lat). Thanks to connecting through the Northern Peach Growing Association on Facebook, he got this order, each peach tree exported costs about 2 million VND, including shipping costs.
