Farmers in Gia Loc district are harvesting early winter vegetables. With the selling price at the field of 8 million VND/sao of cabbage and 9 million VND/sao of kohlrabi, after deducting expenses, farmers earn a profit of 4-5 million VND/sao, 1-2 million VND/sao higher than last year.
This year, the market for early winter vegetables is favorable because there are fewer vegetables imported from China. The weather is favorable for vegetables to grow and develop, and the vegetables look better. Some families have earned 100-200 million VND from early winter vegetables.
This year, farmers in Gia Loc district planted over 500 hectares of early winter vegetables, the same as last year. Every year, early winter vegetables bring high and stable income to farmers.
