The joy of holding a pen

To me, June is very special, because June has June 21 - Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which makes all those who have been and are holding a pen excited and proud.

What do you remember most about June? Surely many people will remember a June with a burning summer with dreamy trips to the forest, to the sea or reminisce about the dreamy school farewell season and many other memories. For me, June is very special, because June has June 21 - Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which all those who have held and are holding a pen are excited and proud of.

I have been involved in "writing" since I was still in school. At that time, I diligently wrote down all the activities of student life, good and bad deeds, and sent them to the beloved Doi newspaper. I still remember clearly the feeling of the first time I had an article published in the newspaper. When I opened the newspaper, my article with my name and address clearly written, I could not believe my eyes. I was extremely happy, holding the newspaper to my chest, flipping through it, inhaling the smell of new newspapers. My heart was filled with happiness when my friends rushed to congratulate me. I was also the first person in the school to have an article published in the newspaper. The articles marked the passionate youth of a person who thought that "writing" was just a walk, a perverse choice, but then became attached to it without realizing it.

Before I started writing, I thought writing was simple, but when I started writing, I realized that completing an article is not simple at all. When an article is published on the newspaper page, it has to go through many stages of editing. Not to mention, the topic must be very special, and the way it is written must have its own unique features to attract readers.

I figured out step by step and wrote diligently and enthusiastically. I wrote many drafts, crossed them out, and then wrote them again. I kept thinking that the topics were lofty and far-fetched, but I didn't think that real, concrete, daily, hourly events and issues were what were important.

I remember the time when smartphones and the internet were not as popular as they are now, every day I received nearly ten letters from friends to get to know each other. There were beautiful friendships that we built from the beginning. And also the encouragement from teachers. When I held a pen, I honed my writing skills, the sentences were neat and concise. I learned how to develop a problem, right to the point, without being wordy.

I remember the days of driving under the blazing sun to find topics, going to the base to write articles, or the cold winter nights taking pictures. Each word of encouragement from the editors, each article that appeared helped me gain more confidence in my "writing career".

My joy in writing is receiving royalties from my own efforts. How precious! Thanks to royalties, I have nurtured my dreams, realized my cherished plans as well as contributed to society. That is more motivation to live better every day.

It has been almost twenty years since I started my career as a writer. Although there have been hardships, difficulties, and hardships, it has also been full of joy. I realize that I am happy and myself when I am able to hold a pen.
