A memory in "journalism life"

That day, I went to my friend Mr. Y's house to play. He gave me the Hai Duong newspaper and told me to read the "Reminders of Rhymes" column. Then he told me to write that column because I often criticized: I bet you can't write it. At that time, I didn't dare say whether I could write it or not.

Coming home, I came across a topic, tried to write an article and sent it. Luckily, Hai Duong newspaper published it right away. I have been associated with Hai Duong newspaper since then. Having published a number of articles, I was invited to attend a collaborators' meeting. Then I got to know former Editor-in-Chief of Hai Duong newspaper Ha Cu, veteran journalist Nguyen The Truong, poet Hong Co, painter Chu Duc Tien... With their encouragement, I continuously sent articles to the editorial office.

Time flies, I have been working for Hai Duong newspaper for 13 years. During these 13 years, there is one story that I will always remember. That is the article "What station?" that the newspaper published. The content is like this: "Patients do not enter through the gate/ Inside the house, they sigh and say, "Wow, it's even more leisurely/ Degrees and positions are clear/ Each person has a proper job, so majestic/ The medicinal garden is left with long grass/ The yard and walls are covered with moss, no one cares/ Don't wait for insurance, it's a waste of time/ In a few days, the medicine will run out and you'll come home/ Regardless of the complaints/ As long as the station exists, we still have our salary...".

A few days after this article was published, I happened to meet the woman in charge of the maternity ward of the commune health station. She told me: your article is so true. I said: which article is mine? She said: the author's name is you under the article. I said: there are so many people with that name. She insisted it was me, because only someone who saw it with their own eyes could write something so truthful...

A few months later, at the meeting of voters of the Commune People's Council, some people brought up this article to question the Head of the Commune Health Station. He did not answer, only asked to accept it to learn from experience. After the meeting, the Head of the Station complained: "He played a terrible trick on me." It was obvious that he was very upset, but he did not complain directly to me. A few months later, this man retired.

My friend also knows this. My friend said that your article has a good effect. I said that this is a memorable memory in my "journalism life".
