Several iconic items related to American music legend Bob Dylan have just been auctioned off for a total of nearly $1.5 million.

Julien's Auctions said the auction was held both in person and online with about 60 items up for bid.

One of the standout items is the legendary song lyrics manuscript. "Mr. Tambourine Man," was auctioned for up to $580,000.

The song's manuscript was written at the home of the late music journalist Al Aronowitz in New Jersey, with American singer-songwriter Dylan composing the lyrics on a handheld typewriter.

The third draft, although close to the final version, still retains his own notes.

"Mr. Tambourine Man" is the lead single from the acoustic side of Bob Dylan's 1965 vinyl album Bringing It All Back Home, and was Dylan's first composition to reach number one in the US and UK.

Other high-value items auctioned included a 1968 oil on canvas signed by Dylan, which sold for $260,000, and a 1983 custom Fender guitar he once owned, which sold for $225,000.

Bob Dylan, now 83, continues to attract public attention, especially with the film "A Complete Unknown" recently released, depicting his rise to fame in the early 1960s.
