The revised Law on Cooperatives has 3 more chapters and 51 articles. This is the information provided by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Chairwoman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, at the thematic conference introducing new points of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives and trends, development, and international integration of the collective economic sector, which took place on the morning of August 9.

Attending the conference were about 200 delegates representing cooperatives, people's credit funds, production establishments, and enterprises that are members of the Provincial Cooperative Union.

Delegates were updated with knowledge about important contents that have been amended in the 2023 Law on Cooperatives such as: regulations on the establishment of cooperative enterprises, cooperative unions and capital contribution to participate in enterprises; regulations on capital mobilization from members and internal credit activities; removal of regulations on the transfer of capital contributions of members...


About 200 delegates attended the symposium introducing new points of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives.

Through the conference, delegates will be able to understand many new points of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives, thereby coordinating with local authorities to create the best conditions for the establishment of many typical cooperative models. This is also a condition for localities to continue to consolidate the organization and operating mechanism of cooperatives according to new regulations; creating conditions for collectives and individuals who want to produce and do business in the direction of cooperation and collectives, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the collective economy.

Previously, on June 20, 2023, the 5th session of the 17th National Assembly passed the Law on Cooperatives (amended) consisting of 12 chapters and 115 articles, an increase of 3 chapters and 51 articles compared to the 2012 Law on Cooperatives. The amended Law on Cooperatives aims to create favorable conditions for cooperative economic organizations to develop dynamically, effectively and sustainably; affirming that the collective economy is an important economic component with many typical models of association and cooperation suitable for the current development process.
