Although his students face tough opponents, "undefeated" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat is still very confident that he will find a way to win the AFC 28 tournament taking place tonight (September 16).
The AFC 28 event brings together many famous and experienced fighters, promising to bring top-notch competitions. There are a total of 7 matches, in which the highlight match is the defense of the interim Fly Weight (56kg) championship belt of the famous Brazilian BJJ champion in Vietnam, Robson Oliveira, against boxer Kim Jin Min (Korea).
There are 3 Vietnamese boxers competing in the AFC 28 event: Mui Trong Vinh, Luu Duc Manh and Dang Hoang Minh. Notably, Mui Trong Vinh and Luu Duc Manh are two boxers who are training at the No1 Muay Club training center under the guidance of the "undefeated" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
Mui Trong Vinh will compete in the Bantam Weight class (61.2kg) against talented boxer Jia Yangin (China). Meanwhile, Luu Duc Manh will face Park Seong Hyun (Korea) in the 57kg weight class.
Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat shared "I have canceled all my competition plans since the beginning of the year, including 3 invitations from ONE Championship, to focus on training my fighters. I have separate training plans with a strict regime of about 5 hours a day for Trong Vinh and Duc Manh so that the 2 fighters can prepare the most carefully for the AFC 28 this time. Therefore, I am very confident in my fighters".
The remaining representative of Vietnam, Dang Hoang Minh, will compete with experienced Korean boxer Song Yeong Jae in the Featherweight category after boxer Oh Su Hwan unexpectedly withdrew at the last minute.
In some other interesting matches, two Jiu-Jitsu masters Pablo Eduardo (Brazil) and Hiromu Ueni (Japan) will compete in the Bantam Weight class. Brazilian veteran Felipe Negochadle will meet Byeon Jae Woong, a representative from the famous Korean Zombie training center.
